Time Card System Introduced

Time Card System Introduced on NH37 from June 13, 2015

Today at 7.00 Pm and 7.30 PM, Time card System was launched on the NH37 by Sri S. K. Seal Sarma IFS, DFO, Eastern Assam Wildlife Division, Bokakhat and Sri Pankaj Sharma, A.C.F. at Amguri Point and at East Haldibari point respectively for the flood season of 2015. Driver of each vehicle would be issued a card signed by the Executive Magistrate, mentioning the time of entry at the designated point on the NH37 (Haldibari and Amguri), and the time to reach the designated destination point (Amguri or Haldibari) shall also be mentioned. The drivers are advised to follow the timings and respect the speed limit, so that the accidental injury or death to wildlife crossing the NH37 can be avoided. The SDO (Civil), Bokakhat and the SDO (Civil), Kaliabor have already promulgated Section 144 CrPC on the NH37 from Jakhlabandha to Bokakhat. Interceptor Vehicles have been placed at vantage points by the Transport Department to detect over-speeding vehicles as well. Motorists may be fined heavily for over-speeding. Vehicles drivers and travelers on the NH37, on this section of the Highway, are requested to maintain a speed limit of 40 Km per hour.
